Agreed, you need to see him in the flesh to see how good he is.

Rice is a superb player and a decent bloke.  He's very young and could be Arsenal's key player for the next 8-10 years.  I think it's a fantastic signing for them.

If I had a magic wand, Declan Rice will be the first player I would sign for Aston Villa. He’s stunning player, who has everything.

I thought he loved West Ham? If so, why's he leaving?

Obvious answers aside.

Great signing for Spurs that, unfortunately. He'll do well playing with Son and Kane (assuming the latter stays).

He’s the type of player they need but strikes me as too inconsistent. Looks like Kane could be off to Bayern.

And injury prone?  I doubt he will improve them all that much.

Agreed. I really wouldn't have been arsed about him coming here.

Declan Rice on the other hand, quality player. We're not at the level to get him though currently but lets hope in 5 years time we might be capable of getting the equivalent.

I think he's a great player, but it's a position we are particularly blessed in

I'll add that if we could take one player from West Ham that would make a big difference,  it would be Bowen

He was a Chelsea fan growing up.

I agree Bowen would be a decent fit for us, but Rice is elite.  I agree we're ok with Dogie and Kamara, but Rice would improve every team in the PL (well, squad option for Man City, but they're not a real club)

No, I think Rice is an excellent player, unfortunately. Great defensively, but can make really good surging runs forward too, and an excellent range of passing. I think he'll be brilliant for Arsenal, and at least he hasn't gone to Man City.

Yep I’ve come round to that view. I used to think he was overrated, not anymore.

And his Dad's Villa, must have rubbed off on him and not just with him playing for the wrong claret and blue club.

Kamara is his equal and I think has a higher ceiling

I like Kamara a lot, but I don't think so tbh.

Rice comes across as a really nice bloke. I do like the way he always seems to clap the opposition fans. Good luck to him.

Rice is stronger, but that's fixable, and Kamara has a better passing range, with both feet, and the timing of his tackling is immaculate.
