We’ll attract the right sort of players. They can see we have a great coach who will improve them and to finish 7th in the PL brings shows the potential. Young, ambitious and of course quality players who will now see us in an entirely different light. European football does help, it’s not the money league but it definitely helps. We have moved up a level in the type of player we can attract.

Agree with all of this.

Not keen on Barnes but some online "sources" linking us with Jack Harrison. I think he has got rid of the man bun so that's a start.

Getting Zaha on a free on a 2 year deal would be about half the cost of Barnes.

I wouldn't be against Zaha but he'd cost a lot more in wages, and at 30 is 5 years older than Barnes.

He would, but offset that against the circa £40m they'd want for Barnes. Can cover as a 9 as well.

Give him a 2 year deal with an an option of a third if he can manage to not be a total cock.  Then hopefully we'll be top 4 and can get someone better.

Either of them would improve us.

Not sure they're in any position to demand crazy money for him.

They don't really need to demand it. He's a young(ish) player coming off a very good season.

There will be enough interest that anyone with any money would be happy to have him, which will push his price up.

Wouldn't be surprised if he went for four years of medals and 87th minute substitute appearances with Kalvin Phillips at Man City.

Toronto - Its more that flying wingers (to date) hasn’t been Emery’s tactics.  That’s my reservation, not the quality of the players.

And has the 2nd most punchable face in football plus as big a twat as his actual ability

If we're wanting someone to compete with/replace Bailey then Zaha is a better fit than Barnes for me.

I agree, although I like Barnes from what I've seen of him, Zaha just has that edge about him, which makes him a target for opposition fans, but we'd soon love him.

What about Kulusevski from Juventus? Loan deal at Spurs ends this summer & it doesn't look like either Spurs or Juve want him. Had a good start at Spurs but like most of the team, seemed to fall short this year. Could be an option at a reasonable price & still only 23.

I really like him ,can’t believe Spurs won’t make it permanent

So will Barnes. Whether they're offered it is another question.

No. A big no to Harrison. Never ever touch players from relegated teams with a barge pole. Absolute wasters with losing mentality ingrained.

So you wouldn't have Maddison? I never understand this argument, most teams have at least 2 or 3 decent players, even ones that go down.
