Brennan Johnson to replace Bailey wpuld be a good start to the window.

Tammy Abraham is not good enough.
If you think that then we are fishing in a very, very small pond.

One thing I would say is I did think he missed a lot of chances when with us.  But then I looked at his stats and his goals to shots ratio was right up there, I think just behind Benteke.  Yes in the Championship but even so I was surprised.

Perhaps a decent backup keeper?

sorted.

I mean...it's more mobile than Olsen and probably better at defending the near post

We also have to temper our enthusiasm with a little realism. It is unlikely (though not yet impossible) that we will be able to offer European football.  That almost certainly rules out the top tier one level players coming to us this summer. We might get someone from that tier who is at the end of their peak years, maybe.  But realistically, we will be able to sign some really good players this summer, but it's unlikely to be those on the radar of champions league teams, unfortunately.  My guess is it will be young, talented, promising players who are not yet proven at the very top level, like Bouba, or players that might well be on the verge of being past it, like Coutinho.

I don't see how we buy players in the peak 24-28 age range, who are significantly better than what we have, without facing competition from champions league teams.

The likes of Osimhen are just not realistic for us right now. Jonathan David is a very slim chance I guess.

I guess I'm just preparing myself after a less than stellar January...

What about Jed Steer as back-up goalie?

Too injury prone.

Yeah, he’s had a couple of bad ones. Shame because otherwise he’d do the job.

Guendouzi and an upgrade on Bailey would be most welcome.

He's gettable if Forest go down for sure.

Something like Johnson, Guendouzi, Tierney as starters for next season would be a really good transfer window. Three experienced top level players now and don't think any of them are above 25.

Then you potentially go big on a Nico Williams or one of the Sporting Lisbon players and probably a CB aswell and we're then well covered in pretty much all positions.

I'd take Tammy  There may be someone better out there, but I think Tammy significantly improves us.  I still think Guendouzi is an excellent fit

If Carlos is up to it I really don't think we need to be spending on a centre back.  Mings is awesome and I struggling to understand how people still aren't getting that.

Typing Mings is awesome in the same week we're playing Chelsea is a very brave thing to type indeed!

I think it's more what role does Konsa have next season? We know his flaws by now and his passing certainly isn't progressive enough to thrive under UE long term.

Could say he can just be a cover option but will he be happy with that after three seasons as a regular starter?

We'll sign a new CB regardless as Chambers and Hause will surely move on in the summer and three CBs is too light to attempt a 50 game season given we've had one out for the last seven months.

Really like Barnes, the colour of his nose aside. He'd be a great signing.

Icardi is in loan at Galatasaray and is banging them in. He's 30, I'd rather we went for him and a prospect like that Beighton lad mentioned above. PSG clearly don't want him so we could probably get a good deal.

As Smiker said.
Tammy Abraham nostalgia is mind boggling. He scored goals in the championship and so this Lewis Grabban and no one wants him back. He didn’t do much whenever he was given an opportunity By Chelsea and has not exactly set the world on fire at Roma. Ollie Watkins is now ahead of him in as a PL striker.

I'd like the Argentinan forward Pablo Dybala at Roma
Has a release clause at just €12 million and is valid for foreign clubs only.

21 in 58 for Chelsea (when given a chance) and 23 in 64 for Roma. A bit weird comparing him to Lewis Grabban.

I'm a bit on the fence where Abraham is concerned. He's a good player and I wouldn't be upset if he arrived here, but I'd also hope there was better value elsewhere. He did get 15 goals in 25 starts one season at Chelsea though, which isn't shabby by any standards.
