But as a general comment, I simply cannot wait to see what Emery does with his recruitment. Players that are comfortable on the ball, can play it and move without much thought. There will be a lot of activity this summer. If we can maintain just the form with shown this season under him into next with better players, maybe, just maybe we might be entering a much better period of clubs recent existence. The odd bright moment aside, it’s been gloomy for the better part of 40 years.

If Carlos is up to it I really don't think we need to be spending on a centre back.  Mings is awesome and I struggling to understand how people still aren't getting that.

Guendouzi or Amrabat - yes, please.
I'm increasingly thinking that Archer and Dhuran will make it. Tim and Aaron Ramsey may also challenge for midfield roles next season.
Right back would be a place to improve, and another CB would be a sensible upgrade.

Even if you accept Mings is awesome, that still leaves us light in terms of centre halves who can play the ball.

That is something which Konsa really clearly can not do.

I've put this elsewhere but, in order:

Replacement for Bailey/Bertie.
Replacement for Olsen.
1 midfielder in with Sanson and Nakamba out, improves depth and leaves the door open for Tim and AJ.
Replacement for Chambers/Konsa.
Replacement for Young (but this might come with KKH so only a low priority).
Short-term option up front so Duran can go on loan.

Ideally I don't like making more than 4-5 signings in the summer so I'd be ok with 1-2 of last 3 being parked for a window or 2.

At our current level it must be difficult to persuade keepers to join to be back up to one of the best keepers in the league.  Much as I don't think he's very good Olsen is an international keeper.  I think it will be hard to find someone significantly better who is prepared to play second fiddle to Martinez with no Euro games on offer.

Should and will be a massive priority. We are one injury away from a run of poor results. Olsen may be an international, but he’s awful for us. I’ll be absolutely amazed if we don’t sign a GK.
