I always suspected Lo Celso was coming.
Gregg Evans has suggested as such. Someone who's more in than out the know.
"Unai Emery is keen on targeting Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso for Aston Villa ahead of this upcoming summer transfer window"

He might just be taking up archery.

Lo Celso would be a great fit.  He makes the Argentine team tick and they had to make do without him at the World Cup

I'd argue then that he's probably not the one that makes them tick, given they seemed to tick just fine without him.

What do you think of 23/24 Squad?

Goal Keepers

Martinez/ Raya

Defence
Foyth/Cash
Pau Torres/Konsa
I'm Eric laporte/Mings
Moreno/Digne

Midfield /Attack

Tielmans/Kamara
Guendouzi/Luiz
Lo Celso /Buendia
McGinn/Ward Prowse
Nico Williams/Bailey/Lee Kang Inn
Ramsey/Barnes/Alberto Moleiro
Pedro Goncalves /Coutinho/Summerville

Strikers
Santiago Giménez/Watkins/Archer/Marcus Thuram
Got the perfect job for you Footy.  Look up the highly regarded and (probably) award winning website called 'Football Insider'  Your squad speculation would be perfect for them.

Except maybe for Raya sitting on the bench.  Even they wouldn't be crazy enough to suggest that.

Not sure why you omitted Ramsey either.

Ignore that, spotted him.
I did leave out Olsen, Chambers and Traore.
It looks very expensive, footy  :P

Yes maybe Villa won't sign 15 players but maybe could push at around golf that of 7 players.
I wouldn't think more than 7 even with Monchi coming in as a transfer wizard 6 to 7 in satisfaction and a squad of 30 could then include a few younger ones. And goalkeepers.

Well, you certainly seem to be getting into the swing of the summer window all of a sudden. Unfortunately.

Yes I'm recovering from the news of the golf merger must be in my mind!

I am surprised at £35m, seems like there was a release clause. Ouch.

Must have been a release clause as he's surely worth double that at least.

Surprised it’s only 35mil

The cynic in me thinks that there is something fishy about that amount to fudge FFP.

Although there is meant to be "some" clause that makes it £35 raising to £55, if he meets certain criterias.

I did forget Dendoncker.
Maybe he's just destined to remain in England as a bit part at our club but maybe sell and we could see Kompanys Burnley taking him

He's good friends with Tielemans, apparently. Could be useful!

Yes isn't there a strong rumour that Tielemans is signing.
I guess that will be announced once the internationals are over.
To wherever he lays his hat that will be his home.

I reckon we might go back in for Joao Felix.

Even though his move to Chelsea didn't work out, he is a tremendously talented player who I think Emery would get the best out of him.

I reckon a cut price deal between 40-50 million would see him come to us.

Trouble is, he's on 250k/week.

Listening to Leeds fans, we dodged a bullet the size of a house not signing McKennie in January.

Listening to Leeds fans, they'd be gutted if we signed Tyler Adams. He's the one player they have that they actually highly rate.

He’s very good.
