More Villa fans will be at this fixture than any other fixture so far this season. 16 left in the Trinity, but we're selling tickets in P9-P11 too, above the away fans.

Have they just gone on sale do you know?

The site is just showing A3 and A5 for sale. But tickets are for sale in P9-P11 for supporters with a booking history by calling the ticket office on 0333 323 1874

Appalling. We'll never fill a 50,000 stadium etc, etc.

This match is looking more difficult than it did a couple of weeks ago, hopefully Carlos will get some game time and Kamara will be fit.

Especially about Kamara, I thought there was a chance he'd be fit. I'm a bit worried about our midfield now.

I thought he'd agreed last weekend that he was going to try to throw a bit less digital diarrhea around, but here we are with it splattered all over the very next match thread.
Noted. Sorry! Won't go on.
It was just a wondering on why these South Coast clubs historically haven't achieved

Didn't know where to put this, so put it here.

Today on Countdown (I know) Pat Nevin said that Villa Park had the biggest 'playing area' in the Premier League. Craven Cottage has the smallest.

There is approximately 850 meters of extra playing space between the two pitches!!

I found that stat amazing.

As we play half of our matches at home, we must really utilise the extra space to our advantage!!

On a technical point, they did yards. I believe it equates to about 700m². About the size of a penalty area. And a bit.
That's a great stat!
Chelsea are another one.
I'm going to Chelsea v Villa through a contact. I always find their ground very small and I think it isn't fit for Champions League. Villa Park is far superior.

Exeter, Plymouth, Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth, Brighton...
Yes they historically haven't achieved so much.
I think the climate,  geographic and other interests and culture of the area coast sets them away from being a Football powerhouse.
I think the very fact Brighton are achieving in their project as the owner targeted gap in the region of England. Less competition in the area and close to London

Their owner is a Brighton fan, born in Brighton and whose grandad was a director of the club.

With a horse he owns that triumphed at the races this week, this owner bet a sizable amount of money. Seems very in the know.
