I know he's go some suspect associations and views but if you are judging this purely on sport then its Tyson Fury surely.

No, it doesn't. It's just a way of avoiding saying "sportsman" or "sportswoman" as the awards date to before "sportsperson" was the standard neutral term.

So you are thinking Beth mead is more of a personality then Fury?
To be honest this went from my favourite tv show to not watching once they gave it to giggs as a lifetime achievement award - that worked out well.
