For all our much better play since their goal, it still looks like we might gift them another goal from our trying to play it out from the back, which we seem unable to do.

Must be at the direction of Emery.

I want us to play it out from the back versus aimlessly launching it long. But what this is approach is exposing is we need better players to do it.

Emery is clearly used to having slightly more cultured defenders at his disposal.
if he wants to replace these then let him. Hopefully Carlos is better.

Brighton are very well oiled machine built by Potter over many years. The same types of player coming into the club as they emphasized possession football. Technically sound and very good off the ball. I want us to play this way but it won’t happen in one or two windows.

I’m beginning to think that we need at least one new CB

I think we certainly need to start to be more ruthless in general in terms of where we're not good enough, CB included. Hopefully a busy January.

We need a Martin O'Neill-esque overhaul.

That penalty came from another superb bit of vision from Emi and McGinn advancing into a position we’ve seen him for a while. That’s encouraging. But he still gives it away too much in possession in the middle.

You don't need to qualify a positive comment you know.

We’re not good enough to be doing this play out from the back business.

Does that count as a shot from Martinez!
