Very strange lineup. Hopefully he knows what he's doing.

EDIT: Hadn't realised there were illnesses in the camp, which explains watkins out and bailey only on bench

Not the line up I was expecting. Fingers crossed.

Wow that is a team that's seriously lacking pace.

I’m surprised McGinn is in ahead of Dendonker and Bailey is on the bench.

Very odd selection. Is Watkins injured? Might even get to see Archer play for a change.

Sigh.

I thought Gerrard had been sacked.

Ollie obviously picked up a knock otherwise he'd be involved and starting.

No idea why Bailey isn't starting.

Packed full of CMs. It's going to be another containment job as we haven't got much starting that can break the lines bar Ramsey and Buendia if he gets any of the ball.

Surprised Dendoncker isn't starting over McGinn.

Strange line up indeed. Mc Ginn? I don't get it.
Anyway Côme Villa.

There were comments on the twitter thread that watkins was sent home ill yesterday, similarly with bailey that he had been ill.

Apparently, Ollie and Leon fell ill yesterday.

I have no desire to see McGinn out there, hope I’m proved wrong. JJ and Buendia need to have big days today.

Fair enough then. We do seem to get a few sickness bugs in our camp, had some issues a few weeks back IIRC.

Have to get use to a bit of Emery rotation.
Let's trust the process.

This serves as a further reminder why we need to thank Gerrard for leaving us with fuck-all wide options.
