Klopp's reign at Liverpool is generally considered a success, included a league title, three domestic cups and a Champions League, and his win percentage was only 62%. Which is like, one more win than Unai every 15 games. I hope to God we can keep him long enough to break the back of building a commercial operation commensurate with regular European football, and then give him the tools and financial muscle needed to back him properly.

If we see off Lille, will he be the first Villa manager to get us to 3 European QF’s?

Ron got us to the QF of UEFA and European Cups, Barton to QF of the European the following year, and Little to the UEFA one. (We were qualified before Gregory took over). I wouldn't class the Intertoto so not sure who would be four.
