Monchi was likely the issue - players have really re-grouped since he's left - could be a coinsodence, timings, all that....

 Unai Emery on Instagram:

“Four wins in a row. Proud of the team’s spirit & commitment across the pitch. Grateful for the unwavering support of our fans — your energy drives us every step of the way. Let’s keep the winning streak going.” 💜

There were some 'lost the plot" comments.

Yep. It wasn’t so much people saying he should go but there was some implied he’s maybe run his course which came across as excessively negative when you consider his work in the round.  Still it’s a discussion board and people do speculate and catastrophise.

No doubt he’s done an amazing job for us but he doesn’t get everything right and some of his subs have been very weird. However things definitely seem to be getting back on track and we do seem to be moving in the right direction.

Unai has never uttered the word "unwavering" in his life. So he mustn't post his social media content and maybe doesn't love us   :'(

Interesting stat on MOTD Sunday, that he’s reached 80 wins in 150 games, which is quicker than any other Villa manager in our history, even Ron Saunders.
Thats an incredible stat, even more so when considering the level of competition and dominance of some clubs in the premier league and Europe. A world class manager.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could back the fucker properly in the transfer market?

It would be interesting to sit down with him and ask him just how far we are in terms of players from where he would like us to be (within reason of course) and are there any players that he has really wanted (and were interested) that we just haven't been able to bring in because of finances.

Manchester United see Aston Villa manager Unai Emery as the perfect replacement for Ruben Amorim should they sack the Portuguese coach. (Fichajes)

I'm sure they do...

If Amorim gets the boot I'll have a few quid on Emery next Man U manager, just in case.
