Thank fuck for Nas turfing that twat Gerrard when and how he did and personally appointing Unai Emery.

Without doubt getting Emre as manager, at the stage he was at in his career, was a huge investment and appointment. Well done to our owners.

There’s no doubt in my view we’d have been staring relegation in the face if gerrard had been allowed to continue and we’d have lost some players in the January transfer window who have demonstrated since his going that they are more than capable in this league. Emery has turned the season round in double quick time and made the players and fans believe again! What a manager! I’m looking forward to great things under him. The owners will feel vindicated in their decision, both being there today I believe!
Keep up the good work Unai! Love your work! UTV!

Not just that. But the atmosphere at the club and with the fans would be so toxic. Wanker.

Yes, you can see that we have a structure and a way of playing.
Players that were struggling are now improving.
Great to see.

Even the dicking about at the back seems to be coming together now. Some of Emi's distribution today was brilliant.

Just seen this on Twitter

1 goal conceded in last 4 matches
▪️ 7 goals scored in last 4 matches
▪️ 4 clean sheets in last 8 matches
▪️ 26 points from 14 matches

Our only blots are Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal (don’t mention the cup).

The back four looked as good as I've seen it this season. As dull as it is to watch, they looked cool, calm and collective.

It's definitely improving. Quite clearly it requires 2 cbs that can play with their feet well. Opposition press and it's amazing how quickly this can turn into attack with quick passes through the middle.

Love this manager. It just feels like he knows what he's doing. I just hope should he have a prolonged dodgy patch he wouldn't be tossed aside like Palace have done with Vieira. Long term I think Emery will be one of most successful bosses.

He had his dodgy patch a few games ago - the difference is that it doesn't last long (unlike many others we've had at the helm), because he's an excellent manager who knows how to fix it.

I think the central defenders were fine. The only times the 'dicking about' looked dangerous was from McGinn.

26 from 14, 70 over a season, 50 over 27 games. That's joint 3rd.

He is a proper, proper manager. The style That's coming on, with Gerrard and Smith's squad is clear. Luiz, McGinn have all improved, Watkins looks like the top 6 striker we've craved.

I cant wait for the summer and next season. This guy is special.

Aston Villa have earned 26 points from 14 games in the Premier League under Unai Emery, with only Arsenal (35), Manchester City (29) and Manchester United (27) collecting more points since the Spaniard's first game in November.

Aston Villa have scored in each of their last 14 games in the Premier League, their longest run of consecutive games with a goal in the competition since August-December 2009 (17 games).

Jacob Ramsey has scored nine goals in the Premier League for Aston Villa, with only three players scoring more in the competition for the club before turning 22 - Gabriel Agbonlahor (25), Darius Vassell (16) and Luke Moore (14).

Since he’s come in so many players have gone forward.  McGinn and luiz look like the players we hoped they could be.  Ramsey and cash are now also starting to find their best form - both were excellent today.  The CB generally look solid and have improved with the ball.

Watkins looks like a premiership striker way more often and is back in the goals.

To be honest only Bailey and maybe beundia arent lfibding new levels of performance and consitency
