Indeed.

The same applies to you though, surely?

Of course. What have I done to piss you off? I'll almost certainly apologise and desist.

I think he means that in the same way those who object to the endless stream of provocative drivel can scroll past it, so can those who object to people reacting to it.

Which is a fair point.

Nothing! I meant just scroll on.

Well, yeah, but there's also the issue that you shouldn't walk (or scroll) by when you see something that you think isn't right and needs to be called out.

That also works both ways.

Exactly. I've never known a poster to "trigger" so much vitriol from innocuous comments. Ignore and keep scrolling if you're that het-up.
I agree with SE and eamonn. Not sure Footy deserves the regular pile-ons.

It means that in the same way you don’t think you should scroll by as you think FV is being badly treated, the people reacting to him could argue that they don’t think they should scroll by when someone is posting endless nonsense clearly aimed - in their opinion- at winding people up.

I’m not looking for an argument here btw, I’ve got enough of that in real life, just pointing out that a lot of these arguments work both ways

I mean, this is a forum. Surely if someone offers an opinion it's normal for others to respond? You don't have to, of course, but it's part of the deal to expect it.

I take your point, but I come at it from the same position of preferring to see 100 guilty men walk free from court than one innocent man be convicted. I'd rather see 100 overweight, balding, fiftysomething Villa fans be frustrated on the internet than one eccentric poster be bullied.

Come on now.
If only we could get back to football.
There is no need for a circus. Some accuse me of being a clown while being jesters themselves, but it's all a matter of interpretation!!
Some find it to be drivel, while others find it to be informative and insightful. Of course, my intention is to provide information, insight, and take part with discussion, and debate and mean no annoyance or ill will.
What I have gathered is some do find things annoying or nonsense and have wanted to state it and that's their prerogative

I just see that as a persons own interpretation to what they read and they too don't mean any offence. I'm sure of it.
