One interpretation is that he's noticed Emi being a Billy Big Bollocks since the World Cup, and that he thinks he needs bringing down to Earth.

Another is that it's shite, Gerrardesque management of a vital player.

I have no idea.
Your first reason is bang on. No need to worry about the second one as if that leads to Martinez leaving so be it.

I'd be annoyed if he didn't go up tbh. Very unlikely to score but it potentially causes a bit of panic in their box. So they scored a 4th with the last kick, who gives a shit.

Has Emery told him before games not to do it? Was he waving him back as he went up? Seems a lot of fuss about nothing.

Your first point you have no idea and the second one would be a big worry.

This is where he shows us how good he is.

It's gone flat after the good early games as it does for pretty much every manager at every club.

However imo we have four winnable games before the March break and I'd like to win three of them. That would get us all but safe.

Even with the losses we remain only three points off Chelsea and four off Liverpool so we've got to get back to basics and be as tight and solid as we were down at Brighton and Spurs. Also stop asking players to do what they can't. More direct game v Everton should suit us given we've won 5 out of 7 v them since promotion so win that and we're back on track with two decent home games following.

We had momentum in January and twiddled our thumbs in the market again. We will approach the Summer on the back of a poorer end to the season and from a lower position in the league to attract players and no doubt will be beset by rumours of Martinez and Kamara being targeted. We stood still and if you do that you go backwards.

That's not an indication of our progress so much as it is an indication that those clubs are having their worst seasons for quite a while.

Three weeks ago we were 3 points off 6th place. It’s now 10 points behind. I don’t think much of the emperor’s new clothes.

We are clearly a work in progress, and we play some properly nice football at times.

It's clear as day, though, that the defence needs dismantling over the summer, and Emery needs to get in players of the type he wants to be able to play how he wants us to.

I like Mings and I get the thing about our record with him, but again today, we saw the negative side of him. Konsa too is far from convincing.

We are clearly moving in the right direction, though.

To be fair, we've played by far the two best sides in the league in those 3 weeks.

Can't defend
Poor home record
All over the place at corners
Manager having a go at the players

Nothing much has changed since the poor run of form that saw Dean Smith got the sack. Since then we've had two small periods of new manager bounce, but other than that it's a mentally weak group of players being as inconsistent as they've always been. But let's not try to improve the squad in the transfer window, and let's give players like Mings a new contract, that should do it.

We have. But with a different defensive approach we might have got something against one of them or both. Somehow in that time Man City have lost to Spurs and held vs Forest. I’m all for giving Emery the time and resources he needs but we’ve been naive and careless at times in how we defend. Especially after we score.

His substitutions were awful, no idea what he was trying to do.
Not convinced at all.

Arsenal haven't been in great form at all though, losing to Everton and drawing with Brentford. Of course, even though they played in midweek and we didn't, it was us that looked done for by 90 minutes.
