Ok well I didn't want to offense if you're non believer so altered my post. Enjoy the World Cup!
It's great we finished on a win before the break!

Emery’s start shows it was definitely the right call not to ‘wait till the World Cup’ for the manager switch. Two wins puts us in a much better position, we go into the break with confidence, he’s seen up close what the squad has to offer and knows what to work on in the break. Hopefully we are going to have a great second half of the season.

I honestly have no doubts we will have a storming second half to the season.  Realistic bet for a top 7 finish.

I agree with Paulie. It's all been a bit over the top. As I mentioned on the post-match thread, it wasn't such a bad side on paper as some on here are making out. Olsen made a couple of very good saves but was found out in most other areas of his game; Kamara, our big signing just coming back from injury and needed game time; Chambers who people on here have been crying out for surprisingly had a poor game; McGinn moved further up the pitch didn't really work out; Ings and Watkins together has only worked out (ironically) under Aaron Danks against Brentford. I think UE's comments about doing well in the cups and then experimenting against a team like MUFC threw a lot of people and provoked an extreme reaction. After all said and done we didn't play badly, led twice and then threw it away in my view.
if he had been here a few months I could understand it but, after one game no

Apparently Kegels are good for that - and avoiding heavy lifting.

In his post match interview, he talks a little about how they tweaked the formation to suit Danny Ings, given how he likes to play.

Now, try really hard to imagine Gerrard doing that. Or even saying he had.

Or Steve Bruce lumping balls down the wing to Hogan. You have to adjust to your talent and not have them play a system that is foreign to them. And be able to know if something isn’t working have a different plan ready to go. This manager is already displaying positive tactical traits we’ve not seen a Villa manager in a very long time.

The only tactic Bruce had was the big diagonal punt from the keeper towards Elmo.

Madness. Fancy playing different formations depending on who’s available and getting the best out of those players.

Don’t think Gerrard understood the word ‘tweak’!!

Changes in tactics game to game and in-game too. What sorcery are we witnessing?

I particularly enjoyed the 6-4 formation towards the end. Because we were protecting a lead, not a draw or keeping the score down.
