They would in their holes. We'll still be giving him over 50k a week. Awful signing by that fucking thick Scouse-Saudi'd gobshite.

Differing reports suggest he’s on either £75k or £90k a week.

|Either way it's a lot of money for someone who is unlikely to play outside of an absolute emergency and should free up enough to bring in a loan at least.

Would Anderlecht pay all of that though?

No idea, but I'd expect them to pay a fee so the fee and whatever they take up of his wages gets added to whatever else we can already afford.

The highest paid player at Anderlecht is Thomas Delaney on £65k per week, and at Las Palmas it's Jonathan Viera at £63k.

I doubt if either club would be able/prepared to offer Dendoncker a permanent deal matching what he's on at Villa - he might be tempted for a but less on say a 4 year deal, but if that were the case how much will they actually pay for him - he stands at  c. £6.5m in our accounts - so I can't see us making that big a profit if we sell him.

Think it'll be a loan deal with Anderlecht/Las Palmas contributing to his wages via a loan fee.

Yes, but he's been heavily linked with a move to Anderlecht and the Belgian transfer window doesn't close for another week.

Pointless loaning him out now might as well keep him as a extra body in case we need him.

Only get rid if its a permanent

The transfer window in Belgium closes on Sept 6th.

So there's plenty of time for a move to Anderlecht to be completed.

I’d hang on to him and work on his fitness, because I think he could still be useful if fit enough. He’s hardly old.

Yeah, if it was a case of shipping him out to give the leeway to bring a loan of our own in, then get him on the next Eurostar to Brussels. Otherwise it makes sense to have a fifth choice central midfielder and sixth choice central defender in case of an emergency.

We'll be paying nearly all his wages either way.

The player has been told he can leave. Nobody's going to buy him so he might well prefer to go elsewhere to keep his fitness up. It seems a bit rum to revoke his opportunity to move now.

Good luck to him, but a shame we can’t get a permanent deal done for him.

Play in purple, famous for chocolate, sure he isn't signing for Cadbury Athletic?
