Apparently, he's been left out of their Champions League squad, which he wasn't expecting and he isn't happy about.

Has played a whopping 23 minutes for Napoli. I would say there is zero chance they will sign him permanently.  Probably another player we will sell on a loss/peanuts

If we're not looking too clever with FFP i hope we keep him in the squad next season. I know he's had a few iffy moments but he also played the full game in the Newcastle home 3-0 last season and was only subbed in IT at the end of the 3-1 home Man Utd game. Two of the best performances since Unai came in, some were comparing the Newcastle performance to the best they'd seen since the season we won the league. We'll just need to get him a bit fitter i think, but with all of the injuries we seem to be getting he'll be useful to have around.

Some of the reckoning will depend on his wages, I guess.

He's done in Emery's eyes I'd wager. I know he had some parental type leave during pre season but Emery was far from impressed with him afterwards. In fairness, it's up to the player to get fit. I thought he was decent enough at Old Trafford, certainly compared to Luiz that night, but he can't play on the half turn so not an Emery midfielder.

If we haven’t got a youngster/a Academy/ u21 player better than bloody Dendocker then we might as well pack our bags and move to Timbuktu

Yeah, they put in an offer on the last day of the window and we turned it down because there wasn't time to bring in a replacement.
