Better than I thought then, in fairness. If he's tackling more, he's more likely to foul more which those stats seems to bear out. I hope his interceptions and tackles lead us to retaining possession.

At this moment I'm just hoping he plays again this season.

... apart from looking pretty comfortable with the ball and recycling it, I haven't noticed anything particularly great about Kamara to date.
... a massive improvement on what we have sadly become used to, then.

Maybe by reputation but it's not as if Kamara has been particularly great so far.

Early days obviously and he probably needed a season to bed-in. A shame if he's gonna miss a lot of that now.

He's been our best player by quite some distance.

Has he? Midfield has been a major problem for us this season, and he's been an ever-present in it. I know McGinn has been awful but apart from looking pretty comfortable with the ball and recycling it, I haven't noticed anything particularly great about Kamara to date. He's committed too many fouls (understandable as he's getting used to the pace) but I don't think he's the enforcer type many have thought we lack.

Kamara will commit more fouls, that's his style of play, it seems to me. But maybe the yellow and red cards will change that. That is, there will be fewer fouls, because he will be on the field less often :)

Kamara has been excellent.  I'd say our best player this season.

It’s out of him and Mings.

Let’s hope it’s nothing but Dendoncker wasn’t in the Belgium match day squad today.

I'd say Luiz has a shout, and I have been a big critic of him previously. Been excellent thus far this season.

Luiz has not been excellent all season, most of the team have been poor so far, that is why we are towards the bottom of the table

If we had a lot of excellent players we would be towards the top of the table, we do seem to over rate our players - most would not get a game in a team that is challenging on a regular basis for a top 6 finish.

Luiz has looked like our best No8 this season, unfortunately he hasn't had as much gametime as he should have done.  I think it's fair to say he's looked like one of our best 2-3 players when he's played.

Also just because we've started the season poorly it doesn't mean that we can't say players have been excellent. Personally I think Mings has been excellent and Kamara and Luiz have bene very good when playing together. We're down where we are because most of the rest of the team has been poor (although Ramsey has looked very good when playing his natural role and being allowed to attack).
