Will this be a change in formation with two sitting deep midfielders?

Just get big Sam in till the end of the season and we’re sorted then

We haven't had a Big Sam, Pullis or Warnock call for a while. Nearly a year now since the last call for these heroes of football.

Oh, the hopes and dreams can fall away so quickly.

I think he will improve us. Adds steel and energy, box to box

His name sounds worryingly similar to ‘donkey’

Denplonker as my son said when I told him.

Echo this and the other positive comments. Not a 'Wow' signing but a versatile international with PL experience in an area we need.

Plus he was born in Passendale so we can adopt the Iron Maiden track as 'his song'. 8)

Seems like sensible business. Not exciting, but could be a very important player this season.

He'll be a decent signing that we need. He's also the type of player we should really have been signing 2 years ago to help us push on.

My wolves supporting boss replied.

"he will run around like a good un but not that skillful"

So as people mentioned, might make us a bit more solid in midfield but Nakamba like when on the ball.

The very definition of a panic buy. He's absolutely shite. A Belgian Danny Drinkwater.

Not remotely like that

Its exactly like that, I'm more than comfortable having this on the first page of the thread as you'll all be saying the exact same thing in a few games.

I live amongst the dingles and to a man they have all wanted him gone for the past 18 months.

To a man, what the fuck do they know about football ?!
Fantastic come back sir. Kudos.

I'm pretty happy with this, not as exciting as some of the options we've been linked to but he's big and strong without being a donkey and should address the 'soft underbelly' issue we've had for years.

It's just a sensible buy for the position we are in as we have no one like him really.

Seems sensible to me and I thought he was about 40!
