Leander Dendoncker (sold to Real Oviedo)

Seems to be pretty close, medical this afternoon supposedly. I've gone devil-may-care about starting threads before it's official. Fuck it.

Anyway, I don't really know much about him. Be brilliant, please.

Good player. Not a massive difference maker but he will add some steel to our midfield. Plenty of PL experience so that won’t be an issue. If we can get someone like Gallagher also today I’ll be happy. But if we persist with McGinn then it doesn’t solve anything. And I’d rather we didn’t sell Luiz.

Beeb also says no offers for Dougie (Doggie for listeners of the Villa podcast) so he is staying put. Hope so.

The very definition of a panic buy. He's absolutely shite. A Belgian Danny Drinkwater.

Can't get too excited whether we sign anyone or not, the manager is the problem.

Him and Kamara behind any 3 of Luiz Bailey Ramsey Phil Buendia is acceptable as long as its not McGinn.

I think this can be summed up by the opinion on the molineux mix. Theyre delighted not upset which speaks volumes.

If Luiz goes that leaves a midfield of McGinn and Dendoncker. I'm scared now.

Same here, I'm pleased we've signed someone at least but considering the dip in form for so many of our players lately, I fear for this bloke as well.

Fee oddly quoted in EUR (€15m) which the Athletic are saying is £12.9m

You're way off the mark. He's better than anyone we have as a midfield stopper. He also has physicality and gets the odd goal.
It's a shrewd move. Everton and West Ham were also interested.
