Why is he leaving Wolves? Because he can’t get a game there?

The very definition of a panic buy. He's absolutely shite. A Belgian Danny Drinkwater.

You're way off the mark. He's better than anyone we have as a midfield stopper. He also has physicality and gets the odd goal.
It's a shrewd move. Everton and West Ham were also interested.

Agree, he's got presence at 6'2". Can play midfield or centre back, so he has versatility. Also capped several times by Belgium.

Not remotely like that

Its exactly like that, I'm more than comfortable having this on the first page of the thread as you'll all be saying the exact same thing in a few games.

I live amongst the dingles and to a man they have all wanted him gone for the past 18 months.

To a man, what the fuck do they know about football ?!

He's a Nuno defensive style player that Lage doesn't need in his system.

You can say it as much as you want it doesn’t make it correct. He’s not Danny Drinkwater. Players like Drinkwater don’t play 30 times for their country. A side like Belgium who have had lots of good midfielders in the past 5/6 years to choose from. He isn’t someone to tickle your nuts but he’s better than what we have in the role we will ask him to play.

Underwhelming. Dropped from Wolves team after couple of horrendous games this season and now offloaded.

Haha. Now I'm worried! Hope you're well, fella. I'm getting nicely battered on a nice bottle of warm sake with yakitori.
Saki and Yakitori are perfect bedfellows. I am totally demoralised  with Villa's current state just like the rest of us. Why can't we ever get it right?

I asked the Dingles at work this morning what he was like and why they getting rid, the answer was "Never been a fan’s favourite but he’s ok and works hard and he runs like Louis Spence"

Anyone who doesn't think this is a panic buy do you really think thus was the plan all along? To sign him and on deadline day?

Wasn’t he played mainly as a CB for Wolves rather than in midfield?

I imagine he was pretty far down the list. Probably on the second page.

Hope not. We need reinforcements in midfield and defence not replacements, but apparently Arsenal have made a £20m bid for him.

Yeah a couple of my Wolves mates reckon he's ok, the one comment not so good in defence.

I'm not sure Mile Jedinak got the pulses racing but we looked a lot more solid and won a lot more games with him in the team, this might be his replacement 3/4 years on.
