The half time summary by Keown was bang on. Konsa, Mings and Emi all at sea for the goal.Keown making some great points about how our set up is totally playing into Arsenal's hands. Will Gerrard do something about it at half time? I fucking very much doubt it.

I doubt he’s noticed. He doesn’t seem to know what he’s looking at.

Three goals in last 20 minutes as Villa run out of “steam?” and fold
Worth a tenner.

How did Luiz not play instead of Ramsay .

Buendia been useless and Watkins is Watkins

The thing about Buendia is he can play the part in a proper midfield.. we don't have one. He looks left and McGinn is behind him, he looks right and Cash is pinned back and Bailey is isolated, he looks forward and Ollie is doing god knows what off the ball.

There is nothing offered to him.

I's painful to watch, our structure is wrong, we are far to narrow and we are giving them all the space they need.

We are less fit than they are, totally unorganised and, as a team, inept.

I don't even know what our plan is supposed to be?

Looking at it again, I think they should have had a penalty.

Well I hope everyone can see why Gerrard wants a Mings out, he was just Sunday League that half

That's not even close to being the real problem though.

Reminiscent of Tim but dim formation in the FA cup final.
Same surrender of midfield same result same managerial ability.

Problem is this is the central midfield he wants to start every week.

No changes at half time despite Ramsey being on a yellow.

Are we this bad or they faking it?

It isnt possible to throw this much money at a squad and keep getting worse and worse.
Just said the same on a Villa WhatsApp group.

Could be 5. This is the masterplan though. Second half, Douglas comes on and Archer, and we turn it around and then hit a winner because Arsenal will be having an open top bus parade at half time thinking they've won the fucking league now.

Or...they'll just batter us and pull an Arsenal against someone else (probably). We're too Villa at the moment to allow them to be Arsenal.

So... they're quicker, bigger, stronger, better footballers.
We play, as we have for probably 90% of the past 11-12 years, hand grenade football. Our players get the ball and then look like they've just been rolled an unpinned grenade. They fluster, kick it out as hurriedly as possible in any hopeful direction, but almost exclusively to the opposition. Repeat for 90 minutes, with the exception of 5 counters which seem to come off. We've had about 2 of those already, maybe 3.

Everyone bar Bailey has looked hopelessly lacking in composure on the ball. Body language is dreadful. Organisation is non-existent. We're leaving enormous gaps at the back. The mid-three don't know who to mark or pick up. Mings and Konsa look like Emile Heskey doing Dancing on Ice in lop-sided ice skates. I think their plan is to just dive to the floor wherever possible and hope they block something.

I feel for Martinez because he's getting no protection and he can see that his defence hasn't got a clue. He's pulled off a worldie save to keep the score down, but he's starting to get bombarded and his six yard area has been chaotic.

Other than that we're fine.
