This thread is now going round and round, not unlike our previous badge in fact…is there any point in keeping the thread open? Nothing’s going to change now…

You bastard.  I've now got Glenn fucking Madeiros on my play history.

Medeiros legend

Always reminds me of that excruciating apearance on Juke Box Jury or whatever it was called at that point.

That's the 80s/early 90s for you.

Matt Bianco = Swap Shop
Glen Medeiros = Juke Box Jury

I'd never seen the Glen Medeiros thing, and now I have. Painful.

if it makes you feel any better, i'm working late* sitting on a Drs office in a mental health ward (with it all kicking off in the corridor) typing up my notes - not procrastinating honest gov - and did subject myself to about 20 seconds of it out of fairness before I pasted it, having googled "nothing going to change Song"

I'll let you cleanse your ears then as I did with this https://youtu.be/QTIhiyurWEc?si=dmrtdPr7rwjlzpX5 [you aren't being rick rolled tempting as it is, The Stranglers....]

Might as well complete the set with Matt Bianco then.

Thanks! Just working flexibly (late) right off home/for some scran.  Enjoyed the thread tangent, excellent badge grumpiness therapy, always good to derail the repetitive arguments with random stuff!

It's a fair point. https://x.com/AVL8ton/status/1796440600478360005

I hope to never see that image again, the new one is demonstrably worse and having it side by like that really highlights it.

I don’t mind the actual shield, I’m just not keen on the yellow lion.
That claret lion on the badge would have been amazing, as would a gold, detailed, lion.

Official site has been updated.

New badge.
Castore and BK8 replaced with Adidas logo and Betano.

Anyone looked at the official app yet? The small logo at the top looks embarrassingly bad.

Looks ok to me.
It just a thumbnail at the top of a webpage.
Nothing at all to be ‘embarrassed’ about.

Give it a few years and it will be be "refreshed" to celebrate winning any trophy/opening of a possible new stand/the birth of Unai's first grandchild.

After all the crest has been changed so many times over the last 30 years, I just can't keep up any more!
