Problem is, the survey basically only really gave the choice of a shield if I recall. So in their view the fact they did a survey is complying with the consultation rules.
I think they’ll argue that they used the same consultation that informed last years round badge. The round badge had to be changed, it looked far too similar to Chelsea’s current badge

It’s ok. Prefer the version on the montage with the detailed lion and like the fact it’s got Aston Villa written on it instead of AVFC on the old shield. I’ve a feeling they ditch last seasons badge as it’ll save a few quid when they just stick a transfer over all the shields around the ground, rather than replace them.
Some won't care, and that's fine. Some are caught up in the feel good factor of Emery and the team. And that's fine. But it is such an insult to our intelligence to deliver this. One thing was absolutely crystal clear- there was a huge desire to get away from the 2007- era badge, to at the very least update the colour of the lion if nothing else.To do that in 2022 only to then revert back a year later to the old badge we were to get away from and try to dress it up as a new rebrand is proof that the club now operates in some sort of 'post-truth' manner with its own fans (customers?).
