Interesting video montage, supposedly released on Villa FB page and then deleted

edit - looks like it's still on FB to me

"Uncomplicated consistency"

I've always said that.

Yep and on Twitter https://x.com/avfcofficial/status/1796436453221687794?s=46&t=i0eH9ovn4hH0MJN1zK2sog

Looks more like a sales pitch with showing the font etc.
You’d think they’d re-do the website at the same time.
Anyway it’s done, not terribly well but in the grand scheme of things it’s not the biggest of deals, and plenty more important things to think about .

Would be nice if it were true!

Agree, especially the last bit. Why we have decided to stick with 42,000 and a badly out of date stand is of far bigger concern to me than a crest which will no doubt be changed by the next CEO to walk through the door in about 5-10 years time.

The new badge might look ok once it's on the new adidas shirt but it's a bit bland.

Works for me. There will always be someone unhappy with some element, me included, but getting over that, this whole scheme is better, more professional, adaptable and suitable. And I like that montage.

Drop shadow is shit. I'd genuinely be interested in how this came to be the final choice, or the process it went through. Looks like an afternoon college attempt. A slight tweat on the Randy version. Missed opportunity to make something good. We go again.

Me too

It's shit, and they've breached FA rules in the way they've introduced it.

It’s ok. Prefer the version on the montage with the detailed lion and like the fact it’s got Aston Villa written on it instead of AVFC on the old shield.
I’ve a feeling they ditch last seasons badge as it’ll save a few quid when they just stick a transfer over all the shields around the ground, rather than replace them.

I think they’ll argue that they used the same consultation that informed last years round badge.
The round badge had to be changed, it looked far too similar to Chelsea’s current badge
