I wonder would Emery have kept on Mark Delaney and George Boateng rather than have them sacked like Gerrard did.

Well he got rid of everybody else, so my gut feeling is 'no'.

Not everyone, he kept McPhee so he seems willing to work with people that meet his needs.

I get the impression though that Boateng and Delaney, whilst decent at what they were doing, weren't quite on the level we were aiming for and the decision for them to go wasn't purely from Gerrard.

Didn't Boateng leave to work with Ghana, anyway?

Good move for him I reckon. He's got ability but had a bad year last season so he really needs to get back on track.

Good to get it done early so he can have a full pre-season with them.

Jamal Jimoh leaves West Brom. He looks a bit similar to Duran so I won’t bother watching him.

Once you’ve seen Jhon, you’ve seen Jamal.
