What's Louie Barry up to? Wasn't he supposed to be the next big thing?

@AVFCOfficial
Aston Villa is delighted to announce Josh Feeney has signed a new, long-term contract with the club.

Excellent news...

Even better English.

Yes, he captained England at U-16 level.

Who are the next off the production line. It feels like Ramsey, Tim, Archer have out grown U23 football but not sure who the next likely lads are (beyond Feeney).

Bogarde, O'Reilly, Kellyman, Wilson, Patterson and Young are all very promising and/or have good reputations. At the weekend Wilson wasn't included but the rest played and all looked decent except for Kellyman who got bullied a bit.

Below that the U16s won an academy tournament last Autumn and were supposedly very impressive so I wouldn't be shocked to see another bunch of names start cropping up soon.

Irrelevant question, but is that Kellyman lad any relation to the actress Erin Kellyman? Think she's from Tamworth. Or is it just a very common name in that neck of the woods?

Doubt it, he's from Derby and his mom's from Northern Ireland.

He's opted to play for England now. He's from Derby, which is what, about 30 miles from Tamworth?

Never heard the surname before seeing her in some stuff. Now a second person from the same general are has the same surname.

Again, completely irrelevant to anything football related, but I'm curious now.

Poor form to quote myself but I've asked my mate and he reckons Ben Broggio is the one to watch out for from the U16s.

I’m still keeping the faith that Chrisene will be the one, hopefully he’ll stay fit this season and get a loan in maybe League One

I'm really not sure about him, whenever I've seen him he looks very good defensively but a bit lost in the opposition half, which isn't great for a modern fullback, maybe he needs a run as a DM somewhere (or maybe I'm just being a bit unfair).

Thanks all. Not a criticism of the club but they all feel a way off loans to the championship. It’s also weird how Kessler and Barry have seemed to have got lost somewhere.

Anyone know who the left winger was who played second half against Walsall? Smallish stature, had a gait similar to Vassell.

Seb Revan, he's a left back really.

My take -

Ready to be integrated or likely to be their last loan - A Ramsey, Iroegbunam, Archer, Philogene.
Ready for a loan at Championship level - Bogarde, Chrisene.
Ready for their first/next loan - O'Reilly, K Young, Patterson, Feeney, Barry, Revan.
Kept back a little longer - Kellyman, Wilson
