Trying - and actually - doing things the right way  might be more exoensive and initially mean we miss our on sond orisorcrs.

But if would be nnice  to think that it will pay dividends long term if it means that approaches by Villa are seen to be more acceptable and indeed honourable than those by other clubs, and thus put us at the front of the queue in the future

We want to build a reputation as a club that not only pays a fair price when it comes to signing young playerd  but acts properly as well.

That's a nasty cold you have there.

Raikhy and Lindley, both midfielders who have had spells on loan over the last two seasons, also featured in the Youth Cup success but will not be kept on.

Winger, Frith, was signed in October 2021 after spells at Chelsea and Charlton Athletic.

Villa are in the process of deciding what happens next to a number of other young players at the club.

U18s just taken the lead against Norwich having been 0-2 down and having a man sent off at 2-2.... 10 mins to go.

Finished 3-2.

Rory Wilson scored our first and then got sent off. We had to come from 1-2 down with 10 men to win that.

Seems to be too good for the U18's now. Looks like a tall lad, just needs to fill out a bit.

Louie Barry's red card has been rescinded.

Omari Kelleyman going off at half-time didn't help us at all.

Neither did getting hit on the break for Spurs's second and third goals.

Still, some useful players in that Villa side.

Indeed, once Kellyman went off (assuming injured as he’d stopped running) we looked lightweight. He is going to be some player though, his run for our goal was excellent.
Feeney looked really composed, Young was a threat at times and we had the better of the chances but got done on the break.
Spurs brought a good few to be fair and were noisy, especially their number 9s gobby dad who was sat next to me first half.
