They had a picture of him on the website for the team news feature so I thought it might be good news

Watching the press conference they way he describes the issue isn't perhaps as bad as the words simply written down.

That is the straw I am grasping anyway.

FFS.   Its a real shame Onnana is mad out of fucking glass.

It was such a cynical bad challange and that twat got away with it

Bouba isn't exactly Robocop either. It was a cynical challenge that warranted a yellow, but not really one that should lead to a long-term injury.

It was a definite yellow card.
I was trying to find a video.  But at the time I thought it was an awful challange that was likely to cause injury.  Not is the same way as some - but it wasnt just a cynical trip

Where did all the 2-3 weeks chat come from? Sounds like he's out for the season.

The tackle on Bouba was Ben Mee-esque. Palinha knew exactly what he was doing and hopefully he gets his just deserts when we meet again.

The camera view on the 'pitchside' highlights shows it more clearly than I saw from the stands.

So if he's out long term,  and assuming it won't be deemed fair play to go and spend money on a holding MF, we have a promising young player and Barkley when he himself returns / gets match fit again (March?) to fill in.

Gutted. Kamara is our best player and absolutely irreplaceable in our system. It was a huge mistake risking him against Spurs, there was a golden opportunity to rest him for once and give Bogarde some much needed experience. And guess what, we did win without Bouba which illustrates the point.

If he's out for the season I can't see us getting top five. After his ACL we couldn't stop conceding goals till the end of the season, four clean sheets in 20 games? Often conceding two plus. The likelihood is that avery month he misses will cost us valuable points.

Onana likely back in training next week according to the boss. He'll stand in for him as soon as he's fit.

Yep, we're lucky to have another top class defensive midfielder (when fit).  If Bouba is out for more than a couple of weeks, it's essential Onana is kept fit for the remainder of the season.  It means we can't play them both against the better sides, which is a shame, but we should be okay and avoid the drop-off we had when Bouba did his cruciate, if we can keep Onana fit. We're not as good as we are with him, but also we won't be as bad as we were without him last time.

Yes his next trip to VP needs to be a hostile one with appropriate dogs abuse

Different season, different team (kind of).

It is what it is. Got to trust the team and manager can do enough to see us over the line.
