I keep Cash is surprisingly our player of the season so far, or maybe Torres, or SJM….but this lad is incredible, just a brilliant brilliant player.

Kamara is 2nd behind Pau for me, then Cash, McGinn, Rogers and Tielemans all pretty close behind. It's no shock how well we're doing when so many of the team are in such good form.

I think Konsa deserves a mention as well - always a bit underappreciated is Ezri.

I did mean to include him, I got distracted on whether to add Martinez as well.
Its probably easier to look at whose not top of their game. Watkins is the obvious one, but even Ollie is contributing and the last two games has been more like his old self. This is the great thing about this season now, we’re not being carried by one or two big hitters, this is as a complete team effort as anything Ive seen for some time.

Agree R&B. Thought that Ollie and SJM “only” put on on-par performances. Both did some good things, but a bit looser than others in possession.

Yesterday, the player that made it all tick was Tielemans, particularly in his movement relative to the likes of Kamara and Rogers. For someone who always looks like he's blowing out of his arse, his energy was incredible...

... all of which is not to diminish the amazing talents of Kamara et al.

Kamara is a brilliant player. A really big game player, like yesterday. It’s noticeable that up against inferior opposition he doesn’t put anything like the same effort into it. Against Young Boys for instance. Nothing wrong with that if you get the job done.

Feels like the whole team do that, under instruction. We're like a top middle distance runner that's expert in pacing.

If you were splitting hairs, you might say he was pretty absent last season at Parc des Princes (since you talk about big games).

Still, a tremendous player.

I don’t think there’s many elite midfielders who could have lived with that PSG team last season, they were fucking brilliant. It was just unfortunate we couldn’t find that extra 10% in the home leg.

Kamara has been quietly solid ever since he arrived, his ACL aside he along with Konsa behind him just go about their business with the minimum of fuss and ultra professionalism. He invariably performs at 7/10 every week and throws in a 8 or 9 for the really big games.

Don’t get me wrong, he’s a super player.

But it’s also true he went “missing” in a few of the bigger games last season (PSG being but one). No shame in that, just reflects the margin for improvement that he amply fulfilled yesterday!

If I remember correctly Bouba had no pre season last year and had a few niggles after he returned. I think he ran out of steam a bit after having no rest with all the other injuries we dealt with.

From the Telegraph:

It is rare indeed for Declan Rice to be outclassed but he was here, by the superb Kamara.

Yep, he looked exhausted toward the end of last season and his performances suffered from it. This season he's flying and getting better by the week. I love that he's added a lot more attacking threat to his game this year.

Big upswell of support for him to be included in the French squad now - which I feel is crucial for us to see the very best from him. Deschamps can’t keep ignoring him much longer.
