2-2 Graydon (2). Kevin Keelan and Mel Machin for them.

Goalie, wasn't he? Also Mrs SE's dad's best mate growing up.

He was, saved Ray Graydon’s penalty in the 1975 League Cup Final but we scored the follow up.

And I believe it was Machin that handled the ball?

hmm wait, Smith must be one of them.

gregory, BFR, SGT and MON

SGT managed us in the PL after watford in the PL.  His previous time in the top flight was before football started in 93

Bear in mind it's 8 games not 8 managers so it might only be 2 or 3. I have no idea what 8 games or who the managers were.

There was a goalless draw at home to Sunderland where MON couldn’t understand why we didn’t all warmly welcome him with open arms.

It all feels a bit Groundhog Day at the moment in terms of the managers approach, team selection, reaction after the game etc etc but this game is a bit different with Dean Smith coming back. He'll get a great reception, rightfully so but the focus really should be on the fact that, although it might be slightly hysterical to call it a must win, we really could do with the victory.

1-1

Totally agree.  My all means give him a round of applause as we walks along the touchline, but this is an important game that we really could do with 3 points from.  It is not a testimonial.

All this stuff with banners and Villa-Norwich badges is way ott for my liking.

Dean Smith will be coming here with evey intention of getting a win, bearing in mind our poor recent form.  Norwich have nothing to lose now

4-0 home win, we should have too much quality for Norwich.

Welcome Home Deano!
Gerrard has come out and said he thinks we can get 6points fro our next 2 -Norwich and Burnley - if we keep a clean sheet .  so perhaps a 1-0 or 2-0 win.
Then again Dean Smith plays attacking football and I can see it being a very tricky match and a 2-1 win.
Really we should have kept Dean til season end
Then phased in Gerrard rather than mid season
The new manager has yet to hit the heights of Dean Smiths Aston Villa.

Emi
Cash Konsa Mings Young
Mcginn Luiz Ramsey
       Coutinho
   Bailey Watkins

Think that's what he will go with tomorrow

Haven’t really looked like scoring a goal for a while so probably 0-0 with the possibility of Deano snatching a late winner.
