Before my time but was the song about Rosario, some sort of anti-traveller/gypsy thing?

Correct, that was the connotation behind mentioning him and caravan in the same sentence.

Also sung to any player with long hair, Terry Hurlock and Paul Walsh spring to mind

I had no idea you knew so much about caravans, and those who dwell in them, Lee.

The persecution of travelling folk continues

Don't heed them Lee, we all need a bit of shelta and leaves those making the snarky comments looking a right cant.

Johnathan Greening when at West Brom, got particular traveller related ‘stick’ for having the temerity of growing his hair long and growing a beard

Goalie, wasn't he? Also Mrs SE's dad's best mate growing up.

He was, saved Ray Graydon’s penalty in the 1975 League Cup Final but we scored the follow up.

I once saw Kevin Keelan play for us away to Bromsgrove Rovers in a pre season friendly, he only played 5 first team games for us, unable to displace Nigel Sims, eventually went onto to play over 600 games for Norwich.
