Don't generally drunk before the match, but Bartons afterwards.

PGW, I would report that Bouncer to the club, disgraceful behaviour.

Beer in Holte Suite generally quite iffy coupled with a paucity of atmosphere.

We used to go in the Holte Suite quite a bit but we've only been in there once this season. It took an absolute age to get served and it's got even more pricey than it was. The 1874 lounge is much better but they are are charging £50 a season which sounds a lot but you get served quicker and it's not so rammed. Its upstairs though and I don't think there's a lift. I may be wrong though.

Out of interest, is the bar in the old Stumps still open match days?

Where do H&Vers prefer to drink before (or after) a game at VP?

Personally always go to the Aston Tavern, which is far from perfect but does have a charm to it. I'm curious if the Social is any good, or if I'm missing anything better?

Social was good until they sacked Jenny. The new manager Karen hasn’t a scooby

The social was good until the clowns that used to drink in the Adventures started drinking in there.

Barton’s for me but getting served is becoming an issue.

I've walked out more times than I care to remember having waited for 30 minutes and not been served.

When me and Mac started going in there you'd get about a dozen customers in after the match

I remember going in there after a game when a few of us met up after the last game of the season under MoN, even parked in the road behind the pub it was so quiet.

The beer is shocking.

If its a beer in town before the game we go for The Wellington, The Queens Arms, OC's or The Wolf. Also tried The Roebuck Church Street on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised, nice place, nice beer.

Villa Tavern after the game. Fast service, decent music and great atmosphere among the punters.

We used the Tavern for years and it was lovely, the bloke that run it was the nephew of my parents neighbours, they were lovely people.
They got forced out and some right dodgy fuckers came in, St George's Cross went up behind the bar and it turned into the boozer off Shameless.

Might give it a go again if it's improved, the Bartons is getting ridiculous, even having a table booked is no guarantee of service.

No its been poor the social since regulars have stopped drinking in there for a number of reasons.

the place to be right now appears to be the sacred  heart haven't been in there this season.

As for the Holte Suite agree about the queues and door staff  - needs reviewing by the club

Go with my teenage/pre teen kids, so generally just get a couple of shite pints in the ground/holte suite before the game. After, if i go anywhere its the Heart, gets packed, but bar staff are fairly quick and good atmosphere in there.
