At least Fury has got the ability and record to back up what he says. Joshua should be grateful he's been offered such a decent split of the wallet. He's turned into a bit of an embarrassment.

Yep three defeats in his last five fights and gets the offer of a huge purse, I expect Tyson to floor AJ.

I would have preferred to see Tyson versus Usyk.

Me too. That could be an interesting fight. I don't think Usyk could hurt Fury, but he's qo quick and throws so many punches, that if it went to points it'd be interesting.

Yes the boxing styles are similar but with Tyson being much bigger I think he would soak up any punches from Usyk without getting hurt before over powering him.

I'd imagine Fury will, eventually, fight both of them, having retired another eleven or twelve times in the meantime.

Yeah, heard an interview with him the other day where he said that Usyk has already stated he will not be fighting again in 2022.

Works perfectly for Fury I suppose.  Joshua in Cardiff in December and then a big early summer fight against Usyk in 2023.   He wins those two and then he could walk away knowing that he has achieved everything he possibly could.

Think Fury has more boxing nous than Joshua and would have the ring craft to make his size advantage over Uysk really count.

AJ didn't have that lengthy amateur career and I think that lack of experience has shown at times during his pro career.

I've just read about the death of Ernie Shavers a couple of weeks ago. If you haven't heard of him, he was perhaps the hardest-hitting heavyweight of all time and equally perhaps the best never to win a world title.

That one went under the radar a bit, I had no idea. He fought some very good opponents: Bugner, Holmes, Norton, Ali, Lyle.

I hadn't heard that he has passed, 69 knockouts with 23 of them in the first round.

Steve Bunce wrote a great piece about him and his generation of heavyweights in last week's Boxing News. Sharing your peak years with Ali, Frazier, Foreman and Holmes is the definition of unlucky.

True so, bit like being a middleweight in the early-mid '80s.

Why is Parker v Joyce on pay per view, one is ranked 7th in the world and the other 8th, it's a joke, not to mention, we are going through one of the most difficult times witnessed since the war, but I doubt, whether the powers that be are aware of that.

Because people will pay to watch it. Heavyweights bring out the casual fan.

Yeah Dave but there will still be many, who want to watch it, but due to the present cost of living crisis, will be unable to do so, as it's a luxury, they cannot afford, that's why it's wrong.
