He had a great game.

The only downside was the journey home being buggered up by M6 roadworks and closure of the M61.

Only just noticed that Mark Cooper didn’t even look Dean Smith in the face when shaking hands at the end. It’s just engrained in them.

Barrow is a tough place to grow up and work in. By all accounts the fans were really respectful on both sides, he did look a miserable fecker though.
Proper throwback game this. Also probably the only time I've managed to drink a pint while watching football. The little shed at the back was selling beers right into injury time. Very comprehensive and professional performance. I think we have some genuine quality coming through. Passed the ball well and we were very clinical. I had a few worries that there was only a pair of first teamers in the squad. It reminded me of the Odense or Vienna European aways in some respects. Beautiful drive up and then you hit quite possibly the biggest dump I've ever been to that is Barrow. Where pubs don't open on Tuesday nights, where there's hyperdermic needles on the floor outside the library and where fortunately the Spoons was decent enough.Singing only 2 Chuckwuemekas, adopting the Kolo/Yaya You're song for the Ramsey brothers who were clearly loving it. The sun set, the friendly atmosphere, the novelty. Just a very good away day.
