Bailey's had one good season in four. It seems more like last season was the outlier. He'll be on big money after signing a new contract. We're not in a position to carry someone on big wages who has one good season in four.

They'll be plenty of interest in him if we did put him on the market as ultimately at Leverkusen and here he's been a key part of two clubs making CL.

Only 27 still, wonder if Forest will look at him as they'll need a far bigger squad in CL next season. Will be interest from abroad aswell.

Best player by far when he came on. Would give him a start next week and get Rogers back in the number 10 area. A fit and on form Bailey may just get us over the CL line.

It showed when Bailey came on how we were crying out for natural width.
Played very well, shame he didn’t come on earlier.

I said in the pre match thread that Newcastle killed them down the flanks with pace so I'm surprised we didn't do similar. There was no pace anywhere, not even from the  two full backs. It was only when Bailey came on that they looked vulnerable.

I must admit I was completely surprised to see Digne in the line up. That was a dead cert for me to play Maatsen and Ramsey on that side for this one.

I felt Digne has looked a bit his age of late and Maatsen was coming strong at just the right time.

I agree, Digne’s been excellent, but Maatsen’s been one of the highlights from the last month or so for me and has the edge over him. He’s really impressed me.
