I'm wondering if Bailey girlfriend who going to be on Amazon prime in a series called married to the game will prove some insight into things as his form 2 goals in 23 matches is poor and even though I've always liked Bailey (the player) I wonder if he and his partner just really want to be in London.

Let's not forget This time last year:
"You have big teams in England, they call themselves the big six, The Arsenal’s and the Chelsea’s.
It has always been my dream to play in the Premier League and I am right now. Who wouldn’t want to go to a massive team? Especially coming out of Jamaica, do you know how big that is for the country? Especially being who I am as well"

Way to take that quote out of all proportions when the question was asked about a young Jamaican who had just been signed by Chelsea.

As I mentioned, he had just spoken about a Dujuan Richards going to Chelsea directly from Jamaica and not from some smaller European teams. THAT is the context. Yes he is then asked about would he like to join Sterling and Richards at Chelsea, which he first answers with, "I don't know how to answer that", but I don't see those words in your quotes. Hence the out of context which we discussed when it was mentioned last season, so not sure why you have decided to go all Birmingham Mail with it all over again.

No smoke without fire with Arda Güler and Noni Madueke being mentioned to be signed I think writing in wall for Bailey.
Has these remaining games to step up but given his comments from last year, his form this year , the docuseries and that strong rumours he was nearly loaned out or sold in January I think it’s only a matter of time.

The only thing that can save him is himself.  I was very pleased for him to score in Champions League but having discovered the words he said about wanting to play for a big club he’s down only estimation.

Nothing you've listed against him matters, the only reason we would be looking to replace him is because he's not played well enough, stop over-thinking everything.

With the notable exception of last season, Bailey has been an average player at best and this year he has been poor. We have seen his ceiling and his floor and the one is fantastic, the other not so much. It is time to move him on; we need better.

He's been much better lately, as a rule. Some people make up their mind that they're going to moan about him before kick-off.

While true, it’s not really saying much when the first half of the season was so poor.

I like Leon, but I'm inclined to agree with this.

But it does seem odd people would be focusing entirely on the negative. He's here until at least the summer, let's hope he continues his recent decent form rather than catastrophising every time there is a potential he could be named in the squad.

Also, he was mostly good in 2022/23 under Emery, not just last season. I remember lots of people moaning about him, then you watch the end of season compilation of our goals and he's involved in fucking loads of them.

I like Leon as a player. His form of late has been better, such a shame the first half of the season was so poor. It has seemed to me that the attitude wasn’t quite right of late - couple of in-game run-ins with teammates - which undermined the more senior role he had taken last season. Maybe that can be explained by the arrival of our galacticos, though?

In any event, if we are to achieve greatness this season, we will need him firing. So here’s hoping, Leon.

Last year Bailey was a £60m+ player, start of this season I reckon £20m tops.  It’s a vast range which is the conundrum.

Bailey is decent, but inconsistent, so a reasonable insurance policy whilst a youngster is bedded in.  Guler or Dibbling are the obvious targets.

Dibbling has gone very quiet after a storming first half of the season - understandable given the situation of the Saints. Maybe he's been injured.

Looks like a cross between Grealish and Waddle to me. Would be a magnificent long-term signing.

Not at the mental fee Saints want.
