There’s a good team in my town of Newport Pagnell that would play them at short notice
And what’s more the captain is a Villa supporter

They are under 13s though

I remember under BFR and Mon, Villa used to play pre-season friendlies over here in Ireland.  I think it was in 2013 when they last came over to play Shamrock Rovers.  It's time they started coming over again.

They played Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers, I was at both. Brilliant days even if the Shamrock ground was a bit of a jaunt.

I was at both too Clampy, also at Drogheda, Shelbourne and others I can't remember.

I'm happy to pop along to Villa Park with a few rolls of black Duct Tape to make big black crosses with to stick on ratboys boat race.

Reminds me of Cartoon Head from "Ideal". He would have dealt with Grealish for a few quid.

I wish all footballers had short back and sides, no tattoos, and caught the bus to the game with the fans.

I was looking forward to seeing a game of football so that we could start  to focus on something other than the Ratboy circus.

Aston Villa can confirm that an open training session will take place at Villa Park tomorrow at 3pm in place of the scheduled fixture against Sevilla which has been cancelled due a COVID outbreak in the Spanish team.

Fans who purchased tickets for the friendly will be issued a full refund next week but are invited to attend the training session free of charge using the same ticket and sitting in the same seat they purchased for the friendly. Refunds will be issued to the lead booker of each transaction and back to the method of payment used to purchase the tickets.

Supporters who bought hospitality for the game are also welcome to attend tomorrow’s open training session and will be contacted separately about their arrangements.

Supporters in attendance tomorrow will be able to watch the players train as well as hearing from Head Coach Dean Smith and the club’s summer signings live on the pitch. No further ticket sales will be available for the open training session.

Despite our best efforts, the club were unable to find a team to replace Sevilla for tomorrow’s friendly at such short notice and apologise for any inconvenience caused to our supporters.

We remain in advanced discussions with clubs about another staging another friendly game against quality opposition in the coming days. However, we have been advised that any such game will be behind closed doors as we have been unable to obtain permission from West Midlands Police and other relevant authorities to allow supporters entry into Villa Park at short notice.

Any supporters who bought packages which included the Sevilla game on our Villa TV streaming service will be advised as soon as possible of further arrangements when our discussions with other teams about pre-season games are concluded.

We've had a real disrupted preseason what with Smith isolating, games being cancelled, Wes getting sent off and the whole cat-girl saga

Fair enough, not their fault. Hopefully we can get a behind closed doors game or two in before next Saturday.

It's a shame but can't be helped. However, some of the responses in Twitter really does confim we have some absolute fuckwit fans.

All that seems like the perfect response from the club so I'm not sure what anyone could have to complain about.
