Sky mentioning an injury to Watkins, did it look serious?

He walked off the pitch, wasn’t limping. Did go straight down the tunnel though.  Was a slight twist of an ankle I think.

2 years older than gabby too. Careers went very different ways!

One took his career very seriously, the other simply didn’t. Both when younger in the same side were about the same in terms of potential.

Like two otehr mates, Gareth Barry and Lee Hendrie.

Good shout. The Brummie boy in both cases didn't push-on.

Does staying local make it easy to take it easier (your loved in your hometown (mostly), your mates and family are there to distract you etc.)? I wonder if any of that was playing on Grealish's mind or his representatives this summer.

I think the only thing playing on his representatives' minds was if he doesn't move we don't get anything

Came to this thread first thing in the morning slightly bleary-eyed, saw the line-up for the friendly and unthinkingly looked to see if Jack was playing.

Dozy ******. This is a scab that won't heal over quickly.

I caught a glimpse of Marty Cash on the highlights and for a split second thought it was all a dream (nightmare)

The Young goal was sublime. Good movement and incisive passing from back to front.
