I asked this before, but if UEFAs financial rules are so restrictive, at what point does it become theoretically not worth playing in their competitons and focusing on the domestic ones?

The PL rules are the same (or just about to be). The only difference is we’ll be able to spend 85% of our revenue on wages if we’re not in Europe, against 70% if we are. There may be different rules on what counts as allowable revenue however. If so, I think that needs to change. One set of rules please.

Brilliant isn’t it, you can spend more in wages to try and qualify for European football. Then when you do, you have to sell a player or two and bring the squad cost down, becoming less competitive in the process… “Stay in your lane!”
