Earlier today I was telling my wife about our new record signing but she didn't seem to share my excitement.

Women eh?  :o

Konsa has the potential to be the next rio ferdinand no doubt at all in my mind and the price we paid was a snip. If we were to sell konsa at the end of next season after another great season and he would be 60 million plus.

But the days are gone anyway 😊

She probably realises that he's not going to be our record signing for long.

They probably see it as we were in the Championship together, came up together 2 years ago, and we just survived whereas they went back down. In that sense, yeah, it could easily have been the other way around.

What seems to have gone over their heads is that doing that is normal for them, even represents some level of success, whereas for us it's an aberration and represents the club's worst period in nearly 50 years, and quite possibly (not checked this) our 2nd or 3rd longest spell outside the top division.

Second longest, and only time we've spent three seasons outside the top division other than the '67/'75 period. Other than these two periods of tumultuous upheaval, we've only ever spent another four seasons out of the top flight.

I did this too, with exactly the same result.

Don't know why we bother, mate!

Obviously not done yet, but this would feel like something’s changed. Head to head with Arsenal for an exciting young Argentinian international, and we won / he chose us. Can’t remember that much at Villa and I’m no spring chicken!
It’s great business. That’s what real proven ambition gets you. Let’s have more of this

My wife was extremely enthused about the Juan Pablo Angel signing when he was dragged out at half time during the Liverpool game. Mind you,  I was equally impressed with Savo's missus who was a real stunner.

Apparently he has a son who is a footballer don’t think he’s much more than a teenager but I think I remember reading he’s signed for someone or other

Dave Angel Eco Warrior. I now have an earworm of Mike Oldfield's Moonlight Shadow so thanks for that.

Has anybody ever announced a transfer on a Sunday? It'll be done, no drama.
