Half a Ross McCormack is still massive.

It'd fit through a gate, though.

Good signing.
But why did we not get him for £1m 3 years ago?

Because we were still a bit of a joke.
very true - imagine if we'd have picked up Kante and Mahrez for the combined £3.57 Leicester paid for them. Hopefully we've learned a few lessons over the years.

Kante was £5.5m. Still an absolute bargain, which means they got Kante, Mahrez and Vardy for c. £7m, or just over half a Ross McCormack.

Konsa £2.5m, McGinn £2.75m. Not too shabby, those cheap investments.

Konsa was 12.5 mil

Still looks fantastic value, though.

The same reason nobody but the bitters bought Pereira or why in a years time they will be saying how did Villa get Konsa for £12m. It is amazing though what great scouting allows you to do, and the system a player fits into allows them to fail or succeed coupled with attitude. Players like Buendia clearly has a lot of determination.

Konsa has the potential to be the next rio ferdinand no doubt at all in my mind and the price we paid was a snip. If we were to sell konsa at the end of next season after another great season and he would be 60 million plus.

Robbie from Arsenal Fan TV was crying into his cornflakes this morning, saying it was embarrassing that Villa outbid Arsenal. All very amusing.

Let’s hope he is not coming in to replace Jack.

He's not.

He wouldn't turn down Arsenal for us if he thought Jack might go.

It startles me that a few posters on the PinkUn site think Norwich and Villa are somehow equal in stature. I had to check their honours list to see where that sense of self-belief comes from. Having looked I'm still not sure. I imagine it's because we're so distant, they probably rarely hear about us, and if they ever do, we have been dire for about ten years. An eye opener for me though.

Did they not learn from Prince William and George rubbing it in their faces at Carrow Road when we hammered them last season how different our stature is ?

I have a feeling that if he can prevent himself getting sent off too many times, he'll be good for us.

And both Norwich & Arsenal fans seem to think we are going down next season, maybe what nearly happened 2 season ago, and they thought we all overachieved this year. Pardon? They don't seem to think Leeds didn't overachieve. It's a funny old game isn't it. 😃🤣

That is because the Premier League is so fortunate to have Leeds and Bielsa. Looking back it is amazing how the Premier League survived all of those years without Leeds.

They probably see it as we were in the Championship together, came up together 2 years ago, and we just survived whereas they went back down. In that sense, yeah, it could easily have been the other way around.

What seems to have gone over their heads is that doing that is normal for them, even represents some level of success, whereas for us it's an aberration and represents the club's worst period in nearly 50 years, and quite possibly (not checked this) our 2nd or 3rd longest spell outside the top division.
