Davis needs to start a few games. He offers something different. However, he is starting to enter make-or-break territory now. The next 12 months will be massive for him. I like Trez and think he's still got a role to play next season. That said, I think either him or AEG will need to move on in the summer, whilst we can still recoup what we've paid for them. For me, I'd keep Trez and flog AEG but I'd not be massively fussed if it was the other way round.

Trez is a good player to have coming off the bench, especially against the lower placed teams. His enthusiasm and energy gives us the boost required and takes advantage of a tiring opposition. Don't think this is so advantageous if he starts the game.

Hopefully yesterday's result will act as a fillip to the rest of the squad and enforce a belief in themselves that they can win without Jack Grealish.
Useless fact - Today's Villa game was the first time that all the starting players from both teams were born after the first Premier League game on 15th August 1992 !

Anyone would think that organised football didn't begin until the antichrist Premier League was born. Every stat, like this one, is related to Premier League history these days. It's like Cambodia starting at year 1 during the reign of Pol Pot ( if anyone's old enough to remember that ?) They'd like us to forget that there's over a hundred years of football history before the PL, with many glorious games and great clubs, non of whom are included in their "Big Six". They go round with their little eraser rubbing out history and replacing it with their own meaningless drivel. I feel better for that 😁
It's important we got that first one when we did (no shit) because they were looking confident and pinging the ball about with more ease when we went to four in the middle. In fact, I don't think we created a chance during that period until Trez gobbled up a half chance at best to equalize. Against better sides than Fulham 4-4-2 - especially from the start - won't work. But we do need to be flexible to switch it up.
