Very poor. The midfield needs a rethink over the next few days.

After the dirge we've had to suffer watching the last few months, I'll take those three points, thank you very much.

It makes a change to see Deano's changes make an impact.

Chuffed with the win.

Who knows, until Smith starts telling us the truth, it may be the last we’ve seen of Jack in a Villa shirt.

What's the truth ?

We have seven free hits left this season. We should try playing with the brakes off a bit, and not just when we’re looking down the barrel. Give teams something to worry about.

Agreed.  Let's get some sparkle back into our attacking play.  If we can score at least another twelve to fifteen goals and garner a similar number of points, then overall it'll have been a very decent season.

I just thought we looked very poor this afternoon. Trez and Davis turned the game around for the last 15 minutes obviously but in general good 3 points, poor performance. Get well soon Jack.

He’s signed for Arsenal, didn’t you know? We have to protect him so we still collect our fee.

I wonder whether Ramsey would be a better player than Luiz in that holding role: the latter was really poor today and - like a few others - very lackadaisical with the ball. We really do not look after the ball well enough, generally.
When without it, AEG and Traore make us look like a 9-man team.
I'm not a fan of playing wingers in the modern game, and would prefer a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2.
Trez is so much better when he does not have time to think!!
Cash and McGinn played well, although meatball faded in the middle 30 minutes.
Mings really ain't as good as he thinks he is.

Great result - much needed for all.

Yep going through the motions until the subs ,  they brought energy,  Doug is not performing as well as he can and Sanson is finding his feet

Ramsey looked very good when he came on, good tempo and passed it well, looked well up for it.

Went with my head, not heart today.
Sat outside with a G&T.

It's great being safe, a bit shit and the sun shining.
