We looked hapless, before Smith made good substitutions and tactical changes. Pleased for Davis and Trez who both always work hard.

78 minutes of utter wank.

Brilliant cameo from Davis, holding the ball up, roughing up their back line.

Hopefully a huge mentality boost turning a defeat into victory for the first time in over 15 months.

that’s what Davis does and he’s pretty good at it. Couldn’t hit a cows arse with a banjo, but Watkins was crying out for help and Davis obliged.

I was edgy about this one today and when I saw the line-up I was more so.  Show's just how much I know.  Well done Villa.

Mings recovered from his error superbly and Davis showed his strength for a change. Unbeatable now. Belief and confidence is everything. Who needs Jack?

Maybe went a little OTT on the match thread, so apologies for that, but it’s more through frustration than anything else. Its been blatantly obvious for weeks that formation and team selections haven’t been working since Jack’s injury.
No fight in midfield, no attacking intent or presence up front... it’s not rocket science. Stumbles on the formation/eleven we’ve been calling for and we suddenly look threatening!
Davis is never going to be potent in front of goal, but with our lack of options up front he certainly offers a little extra muscle to take the heat off Ollie.

Good result today considering our upcoming fixtures. Hopefully we can push on and not just settle for safety. The proof in the pudding will be whether Smith learns from this or reverts to type next game (dependant on whether Grealish is back)?

Summary - Garbage since Jack has been out, but excellent for last 15mins before he returns (hopefully!)

Great interview from Ollie there. Have credit where it was due.

That turnaround hopefully shows Dean that flexibility of approach is needed.
Yes, at least we went 4 4 2 for a change instead of a 'like for like' swap.

I couldn't have seen that coming after the first 75 minutes. I reckon if there had been a crowd, a significant number may have already left before the equaliser.

Trez isn't always the best but a goal does wonders for confidence!

At least Mings atoned for his error although I don't reckon he was picking out Trez.

Abject display for 70 minutes which was epitomised by the howler from Mings for their goal.  The subs brought some much needed energy and drive and we blew Fulham away.

Give him the ball and expect him to create something then Trezeguet struggles, but he does have a knack of getting on the end of things created by others.  Keinan Davis is either terrible or a real handful during his brief cameos and it was the latter today thankfully.  Thought Ramsey also brought a bit of energy into the midfield when he came on as well.

Fortune favours the brave. Hopefully this will make Smith more pro active when things aren't working.

Never saw that coming, first time we've back from being behind to win this season is it? Well done Trez 2 well taken goals, particularly the 1st, and well done Keinan for his involvement in the 2nd and good to see Ollie scoring again.

At one nil it was that bad the only comfort I could find was that Newcastle were dropping into the relegation zone. Well pleased with the turnaround! Happy Easter all!

A victory but let’s be honest the goals papered over the cracks. No way are we good enough for Europe without major signings this summer.

What a strange, strange game. As bad as we've been all season for 75 minutes. Flat, predictable, one paced then an injection of energy and dynamism and the game is transformed.

Well done Trez and Keinan for turning the game around.
