Play Davis from the start just to allow us to play differently. If Jack is out for longer then Trez over AEG every single time.

I really don't rate Trezeguet at all but to be fair to him, his two goals were fantastically taken and he really did make a cracking contribution today.  Well played him.  Davis was also excellent, impact sub but never a starter.  Absolutely awful first 74 minutes but once we got our first shot on target, we played well.  Great to see Watkins in the right place at the right time after great skill from Traore, stop diving though Bertie, eh?

Great last 15 or so minutes, but the result should not paper over how abject and clueless we were for the previous 75 or so minutes. For his performance when he came on, I would play Davis up front with Watkins v Liverpool. Trez seems to come up with a goal or two when he's written off. Mings seemed to be determined to make up for his brain fart that handed Mittovic his goal.

Tepid garbage until the subs came on and showed some desire and urgency.

Would like to see 4-4-2 next time if Jack is unavailable.

Too many sub-par performances- well done Ramsey, Davis and Trez.

Konsa, Martinez and Targett did well too.

Thought McGinn and Cash did ok.

Was wary going into this one that Fulham (yes Fulham) may school us.

They took Everton apart recently at Goodison and if we turned up as we did against Newcastle and Spurs it wouldn't have been too pretty.

And it wasn't, for the most part. Fulham didn't look great either. But we had all the zip and pizzazz of a bunch of asthmatic Ashley Westwoods until the super subs came on. We'd barely laid a glove on them until that point.

Glad to see the record for not winning from a losing position has now finally bit the dust.

Feel a bit miffed that this helps Newcastle, mind.  But you can't have everything.

Good to see some quality in the turnaround. Good character to do that.

OK agree that Keinan isn’t going to get you 20 goals a season but he can be used to take some weight off Ollie. Man of the Match for me was Dean Smith for realising we were on the way to losing that and making key substitutions at the right time

Credit for changing the formation and personnel, it made a difference and the players that finished the game deserve to start the next one.

Who knows, until Smith starts telling us the truth, it may be the last we’ve seen of Jack in a Villa shirt. Mings did us all a favour in the end with that poor back pass. If not for that, I don’t think the formation change would have taken place. 4-4-2 for me for the remaining matches.

Yes! As an unapologetic Davis fan, it was great to see what an impact he had after coming on. It was also a hugely welcome surprise to see last season's Trez turn up.

There is an argument for the 11 that finished the game starting vs Liverpool if Jack isn't fit.

That last 20 minutes showed the point of Keinan Davis.

Great subs from Smith and I’d give Keinan a go in a 4-4-2 for sure now.
Well done to Mings for showing great character and thought McGinn looked better further forward.
Luiz - nothing player for me. Not sure exactly what he does. Very overrated for me among Villa fans,

Major psychological obstacle climbed today in winning after being behind. Who knows what this may do to the team now but by god that was poor for the first 70 odd mins. And message to the media - as with our win at Leeds, we can win games without Jack.

That turnaround hopefully shows Dean that flexibility of approach is needed.
