Population of Michigan - 370k.

 :-\

Maybe a bit more  ;D I was looking at the county it's in.

Yeah, Detroit alone is more populous than that. (I have a slight interest as it has a very efficient crime family).

This has been a fascinating distraction to fall down. You wouldn't think they were the most efficient criminal outfit in the States!

Hits: 100+ (including Jimmy Hoffa). Solved: 0.

I am unable to read the name Jimmy Hoffa and not think of that scene where Tony Soprano is being operated on to save his life after being shot. Great writing.

Those college stadiums are huge but hideous concrete bowls.

They don’t even need to see the pitch - all they do is get pissed on 1.5 pints of shit piss beer and shout “whoop whoop” while watching an hour of the only sport worse than rugby dragged out over four hours.

Would it help if I told you some of them played Metallica pre-match?

I once attended a semi-final of the Houston Area High Schools Football tournament.
It was played in the fecking Astrodome, 62,000 capacity.

I also attended a semi-final of the UK colleges Rugby tournament. Played at our local Rugby Club, seating capacity about 300.

High School & College Football (plus Basketball) over there is nuts

Is it just me that thinks the level of interest in High School football over there is obscene? It’s treated like their equivalent of lower league football here, but it’s watching school kids and more money is spent on the facilities than on any other part of the curriculum in some places.

The Church, the park, the Jacobean mansion, the Holte Hotel, the Holte End, the Warehouse, the atmosphere, the history, the MacGregor statue, the tram depot, the Aston Hotel… everywhere else in the world can fuck off IMO.

Love this! Perfect!

According to probably the most credible theory, at one point Hoffa was small enough to be in there. They put his body into a car that was taken to a salvage yard and crushed into a small cube, then melted down.

There’s another theory that his body was taken across country to New Jersey and buried on the orders of Genovese capo Anthony ‘Tony Pro’ Provenzano, but it would be out of character for Detroit to go in for risky shit like that.

Pretty sure it's something like 7 of the biggest stadiums in the world are college football stadiums.

I think part of it is down to the fact that NFL teams can just fuck off miles away whereas your college team is ever-present.

With college football the revenue is bigger then the Premier League with the deals done for TV and all sorts. So of course the ground would be massive, especially as they were probably built with local government deals and no taxes.
