Population of Michigan - 370k.

 :-\

Maybe a bit more  ;D I was looking at the county it's in.

Yeah, Detroit alone is more populous than that. (I have a slight interest as it has a very efficient crime family).

There are 11 stadiums with a capacity over 100k, 8 are college football stadiums.

This has been a fascinating distraction to fall down. You wouldn't think they were the most efficient criminal outfit in the States!

Balti pies.  8)

Whatever happened to the Donut Van at the bottom of Aston Hall gates .  It was the best part of going to Villa at one time getting indigestion there after the game

I know, not been there for years.

We used to get a bag when we won, but guess that meant it wasn’t economical in the dark years.

A nation that watches monster trucks has no business eating human food, really. Luckily they don't.

There does seem to be a concrete platform now in the Trinity/North corner. Likely a temporary thing until the tunnel moves.

Yes, temporary platform for the piling rig to form a new retaining wall to link the current and new tunnels (passageway beneath the lower tier). Pretty impressive as temporary works go. I'm such a construction nerd 😅

107k capacity for a college team

The sheer size of those college stadiums is really impressive tbf and aesthetically they look amazing when they're full. But like I keep telling Mrs Edge size isn't everything. In fact it's over rated.
Villa Park remains unique. At Villa Park history seeps through to it's 129 year old foundations and money can't buy that. The surroundings are also unique even if "unique" takes on a different meaning around Witton Station for a night match!
Even after the new North Stand opens it will retain it's aura and will be forever a huge fan favourite for visitors. I advocated a larger new stand but it wasn't to be but I know 50,000 in Villa Park will always knock spots of some bigger corporate bowl somewhere.

Those college stadiums are huge but hideous concrete bowls.

They don’t even need to see the pitch - all they do is get pissed on 1.5 pints of shit piss beer and shout “whoop whoop” while watching an hour of the only sport worse than rugby dragged out over four hours.

And then they play golf to relax. Honestly, a nuclear bomb is too good for them.

I once attended a semi-final of the Houston Area High Schools Football tournament.
It was played in the fecking Astrodome, 62,000 capacity.

I also attended a semi-final of the UK colleges Rugby tournament. Played at our local Rugby Club, seating capacity about 300.

High School & College Football (plus Basketball) over there is nuts
