You've got to think they will be looking at the Witton once they see what take-up is like on the New North.

Selling out still (aside from the extortionate GA+) and still having a healthy waiting list of people accumulating points, and they would be mad not to look at options.

It's the most difficult one though, with the road and houses, etc.

I guess it depends on how involved we are with this regeneration of the whole area on whether we can do something behind the Witton Lane

I'd be amazed if a rebuild of the Witton Lane happens in the next 10 years.  It's the main reason I'm still a bit disappointed that we didn't go balls out on the North, even though I do think it will be a decent stand built in an excellent timeframe.

With the Witton, anything significant they do with it is going to take a long time, so I wouldn't be surprised either.

If at the end of the 2027-28 season we're up there in the Champions League still, getting sell outs on general admission, and have a waiting list with a significant number of points-scoring candidates on it, then they'd be stupid not to start looking at their options.
