On the pic of the new North, if you're sitting anywhere near the top, it looks like you'll be a fair bit away from the nearest vomitory (is that the word?) to access and leave your seat.

To be honest if you’re getting in that state I’ve no sympathy with you at all if you end up having a bit of an accident on the way.

Well played.

I wonder what the view will be like from the top left seats.  The Doug roof might obscure the view.

So looking at the North Stand it looks like they are getting rid of all the boxes .  Probably replacing with dining suites and seats in the stand as you can fit more in

Half of them had already gone with the lounge they built a few years back anyway.

Yep, there is a massive new GA+ lounge in the new stand.

Fully glassed in boxes had become a hard sell, I suspect.

Surely you mean the Emery roof? Only a matter of time...

The Emery stand... I like it.

Of all our stands, the DE is the one that might justify naming rights and generate decent income.  Firstly it is a awful ego driven, Trump-esque name. Secondly, its visibility from the M6 could make it more attractive to a sponsors, compared to other stands.

I don't see how any of this is "new news" the pics looks the same as when they first released the scaled down plans.  I know we'd all "like" an iconic new build, but I'm with Percy, we need to get the revenue up as quickly as possible so we can keep competing at the top end, and this relative quick and cheap fix will help deliver that, so a very sensible approach IMO.

I think we have new contractors for the North Stand. Was Foxton as far as I knew, now Kingscote. Scroll down for the NS:

Yea he sent me the link earlier too.

He also sent this one which shows both client win (AVFV for Kingscote) and consultancy and 100m contract.

There’s also a linked in post about Kingscote starting work on North Stand in the coming months!

There will be a fair amount of enabling works ahead of the main construction work. A pity that this quick-fix method wasn't adopted in the first place. A lot of time wasted under Heck's tenure.
